Rio’s scene

Rubaiyat Restaurant – the famous barbecue restaurants of São Paulo have waited 8 years for the right place to open in Rio – their very brand new house is by the race course of Rio’s Jockey Club Brasileiro with a fantastic view closing with the backdrop of Rio’s mountain, including a view of the Christ statue and the Botanical Gardens' imperial palms.

Lagoon Complex – on the other side of the Jockey Club, Lagoon is a complex with four of Rio’s top restaurants, movies and a venue/theater for shows and private events. The view just like that of Rubaiyat is perfect with the addition of the most famous panorama of the city – the lagoon and remember, coming December when the record breaking Christmas tree comes to life, it is anchored a short distance away.

ZotGastrobar – carrying the tradition of small bars where you meet your friends, the ZotGastrobar is cozy and perfect for a drink as a get together before going for dinner or a nightclub.

TimeOutRio de Janeiro is the best site to check out what’s going on in town. There are a lot of things to do and see and the night scene has expanded to other areas beyond the known historical downtown where the real samba reigns.

Last but not least, the juice bars with an amazing choice of fresh tropical fruits you never heard about and the Açaí in the Bowl with sliced banana and some oatmeal sprinkled on top. An Açaí bowl or fruit juice are the perfect opening of the day or something to get you through after the beach and before a late lunch.
