As previously announced Dubrovnik Travel DMC marked the new business year with the opening of a new branch office in Zagreb, Croatia’s capital city. The Zagreb City Museum

The Zagreb City Museum is housed in the restored former convent of St Clare, in the Opaticka Street (named after “opatica”, the Croatian word for nun). The museum can accommodate from 100 guests for banquets and up to 200 guests for a theatre style convention or stand up cocktail.

 

 

The Mimara Museum

Founded to display the artworks donated by private collector Ante Topic Mimara and opened to the public in 1987, the Mimara Museum can accommodate 270 guests for a banquet style in two spaces, up to 480 guests for a theatre style convention in three halls or up to 390 guests for a stand up cocktail in two halls.

 

 

The Museum of Arts and Crafts

Occupying the west side of the square is the Museum of Arts and Crafts, founded in 1880 and one of the first institutions of its kind in Europe. It can accommodate 500 guests banquet stylein three halls, up to 710 guests for a theatre style convention in four halls and up to 750 guests for a stand up cocktail.

 

 

The Klovicevi Dvori Gallery

The KloviceviDvori Gallery hosts large-scale art exhibitions by both domestic and international artists. It can accommodate up to 480 guests for a banquet in four halls,up to 550 guests in a theatre style convention in four halls and up to 1350 guests on a stand up cocktail in four halls.

 

 

The Glyptotheque

A red-brick former leather tannery, one of the best preserved industrial buildings in Zagreb, now serves as the home of the grandly-named Glyptotheque. Belonging to the CroatianAcademy of Arts and Sciences, the Glyptotheque is a collection of plaster copies of famous sculptures. The permanent display includes casts of significant Croatian works and original sculptures from the 19th and 20th centuries. One hall can accommodate up to 100 guests for a banquet, up to 400 guests in a theatre style convention in three halls and up to 540 guests for a stand up cocktail in four halls.

 

 

The Mestrovic Atelier

The Mestrovic Atelier is a part of the Ivan Mestrovic Foundation, set up by the world-renowned Croatian sculptor. This collection of his works is presented in the house in which he lived with his family from 1922 to 1942. The atelier can accommodate 220 guests for a theatre style convention, 150 guests for a banquet or up to 220 guests for a stand up cocktail.

 

 

Illyrian Hall

The Illyrian Hall is a sought after venue for business meetings, receptions and presentations. 160 years ago the Illyrian Hall was the stage of historically significant events. Located in the old part of the city in the so-called People’s Palace, it is considered the loveliest interior made in the classicistic style in Zagreb. Illyrian Hall can accommodate 220 guests for a theatre style convention or up to 220 guests for a stand up cocktail.

 

 

The Croatian State Archives

This building is one of the most beautiful secessionist buildings in Croatia. From the decorative elements on the facade to the reading lamps on the desks, this building was meticulously designed by the leading artists of the day. The building is rich in symbolism, with rooftop groups of globe bearing owls pointing to the library’s educational purpose. Similarly, allegories of science and the book trade adorn the facade. Its three halls can accommodate up to 290 guests for a banquet, up to 1000 guests in a theatre style convention and up to 1700 guests for a stand up cocktail.
