Exploring Cyprus!!
An Expedition via different means of transportation!!

Day 1 - Sunday

Arrival at Larnaca Airport!!!

Limassol, a celebration of beaches, fortresses and festivals!
Today Limassol is a resort with a ten-mile coastline, a busy shopping center, countless taverns and restaurants and nightlife to suit tastes ranging from modest to sophisticated. Limassol is also the town of “wine and carnival” with its successful wine festival and its several carnival festivities. Cypriots gather in Limassol from all over the island to join these two events!!!!!

We believe that first impressions are very important and that special groups deserve VIP treatment from the moment they arrive in Cyprus. For this reason we offer a special VIP welcome service, whereby your guests are greeted upon arrival by local staff and swiftly assisted through customs to luxury air-conditioned minibuses, without having to worry about luggage as this is taken care of separately.

On the way to Limassol, towards Tochni village, the coach breaks down and the mechanical problem unfortunately cannot be solved on the spot, after some minutes of delay and inconvenience, luckily there is the old-timer coach (village bus) which will “coincidentally” be passing by...! This bus will collect our guests to continue their trip towards the village. Villagers who will be traveling on the bus will serve the party with local specialties such as “Halloumi” goat cheese and tasty local ham known as “Hiromeri” as well as traditional village bread and wine!!

A Taste of Cyprus Cuisine at Socrates House in Tochni Village
This evening will be organized in the village of Tochni at the “Socrates House” which is an old house built at the end of the 19th century but renovated with great care and respect to the local architectural style, design and character. “Socrates House” is one of the best examples of precise restoration in Agro tourism. It is built on an elevated position commanding great views of the village and the Church of St. Constantine and St Helena below one of the oldest chapels of the island. There, our guests will have a taste of mouth watering gastronomic specialties of the Cypriot cuisine.
After dinner guests will be driven to the chosen hotel in a first class air-conditioned minibus accompanied by Drakos escort.

Overnight at the chosen hotel.

Welcome envelop/kit with guidebook and maps of Cyprus as well as a bottle of wine will be placed in all rooms.

Day 2 – Monday

Jeep Safari – A Photo Expedition to Paphos
Jeep safari and photo competition from Limassol to the westbound of Cyprus to Paphos, home of Aphrodite, Adonis, Dionysus and lucky mortals!!!

Paphos itself is a leading cultural center of the Mediterranean, with fascinating mosaics to see at the Houses of Aion and Dionysos, while St. Paul’s Pillar and the Tombs of the Kings, are two more of the many worth visiting sites in Paphos. The whole town is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Wherever one treads in Paphos one comes across its glorious history which dates back thousands of years, when the cult of goddess Aphrodite flourished in this beautiful part of the world, attracting many visitors from inland and abroad. Still under the spell of her Beauty-goddess, the area retaining her magic remains intact by time. It seduces its visitor with its majestic landscape, lovely coastline, historical treasures and delightful villages where tradition is still a way of life!!

An “off-the-beaten track” expedition with four persons per self-drive jeep. All guests will participate actively in the rally rather than merely be passive observers of people, places and things. Each team will have a disposable camera with which guests will take the craziest, the funniest and / or the most impressive photos according to their opinion throughout the day. Upon return to the hotel in the afternoon the cameras will be returned to Drakos escort in order to have the films developed and select the winning team that will be announced during dinner later than night!! The participants will be competing with each other in a fun race. Each round will last around 10 minutes. After hard efforts, the winner will be announced in the “foam” of champagne and “triumph” music….Tired? Hope not, as there is more fun in store for us!!!

We will proceed to the ancient Kingdom of Kourion, one of the most spectacular archaeological sites on the island where excavations still bring new treasures to light. Its magnificent Greco-Roman Theatre, which was originally built in the 2nd century BC, now fully restored, is used for musical and theatrical performances.

We will then go to Petra to Romiou, the legendary birthplace of the Goddess Aphrodite-Cypria where we can stop just to enjoy this magnificent scenery or capture the moment with some photos. Thereafter we will drive to Paphos where our fist visit will be at the Roman Villas of Dionysus, Aion and Theseus with their magnificent mosaics inspired by Greek Mythology. Are you hungry yet?? We will park our jeeps nearby the old harbour and enjoy our fish mezze lunch with ¼ bottle of wine, ½ water and coffee per person at a seaside Taverna in Kato Paphos by the old harbour overlooking the Byzantine castle.
