The Fifth Edition of Cairo International Jazz Festival.

The fifth edition of the Cairo International Jazz Festival took place in Cairo at “l Azhar Park” from 21 to 23 March 2013. The festival welcomed jazz orchestras from the United States, Spain, Austria, Morocco, Japan, Portugal, Lebanon, Netherlands, France, Lithuania, Brazil, and Germany.

Moreover, the festival witnessed the participation of music celebrities like Gilberto Gil, who served as Minister of Culture in Brazil (2003-2008), the well-known Spanish Flamenco singer Diego El Cigala, the French singer Christophe Wallemme, the American Singer KJ Denhart, and the famous Lebanese singer Ziad El Rahbani, who performed the closing ceremony of the festival, in addition to Egyptian Orchestras.

The festival definitely added more spice into the vibrant Cairo nightlife and its well known entertaining evenings. Heavily attended by locals and expats as well as foreigners, the event managed to finally change the negative media that has surrounded Egypt for the last few months and proved that normal life is back to Egypt and specifically to Cairo.

Egypt hosts Site Executive Summit 2013 (9 to 11 Feb. 2013)

Emeco Travel was proud to be a part of the hosting committee that organized the Site Executive Summit 2013 in Cairo, Egypt. Karim El Minabawy, President of Emeco Travel was the Official Communication Officer.

Site President David Sand, CEO of Uwin Iwin Incentives, opened the event with the following remarks: “It is a wonderful feeling to be here in Egypt at this incredibly important time in your history. The prime reason for us being here is to strengthen the long-standing relationships we as the Site Global community have with Egypt.

Site Managing Director Allison Summers stated, “We offer sincere appreciation to the Site members, host committee and the Ministry of Tourism. The Site leaders came to Egypt to provide education, but we believe that in the end we received much more than we gave. We elevated our personal awareness of the destination and met extraordinary professionals who are ready to deliver to the incentive groups incredible one of a kind experiences.”

The board members also explored the highlights of Cairo, took pictures kissing the immortal Sphinx facing the Pyramids, enjoyed Cairo nightlife, had a peaceful sail on the Nile, and took a short walk in Tahir Square, now considered as the symbol of the new democratic Egypt after the 25th of January revolution.
With the understanding of the importance of such an event where Site also celebrated its 40th anniversary, euromic was a major sponsor for the Summit by offering all the local transportation for the Site board members during their stay.
