March 2004

Emeco was chosen as the DMC for the launch of the New Audi 4X4 at Luxor

In the month of January 2004, Emeco Travel was the Destination Management Company handling the spectacular 5 days trip to Luxor celebrating the launch of the new Audi 4X4.

The trip featured three main steps including desert safari, team building activities as well as an exclusive dinner on a breathtaking island.

The first step was a self-drive desert safari to test the new vehicle in the exciting deserts hills of Luxor. At the second step, the bridge connecting Luxor’s East and West bank was exclusively reserved for our guests to enjoy a special variety of team building activities including an exciting rally on donkeys and camel racing, starting from the East bank towards the West bank. Along the track of the rally the magnificent sight seeing of Luxor’s monuments were enjoyed in a memorable and challenging experience.
The wrap of the event was a magnificent dinner on a spectacular island specially decorated to host this event accompanied by an oriental entertainment program, which has created an atmosphere that guests will cherish for life.

Re-Inauguration of Alexandria Opera House

In Alexandria, the pearl of the Mediterranean, a spectacular gala concert was arranged to celebrate the opening of the newly restored Alexandria Opera House - Sayed Darwish Theatre.

The Opera House was built in 1921 by the French architect Georges Barque, fused elements from the Vienna State Opera and the Odeon Theatre in Paris. The three-story structure is decorated with portraits of celebrated musicians.

The Theatre was known to be the city’s leading venue in hosting the era’s most celebrated artists. The extremely expensive restoration project is considered to be a great achievement in bringing such masterpiece back to life. During the restoration process many antiquities were found which will be put on display within the theatre giving the audience a glimpse of the theatre’s past.
