The Wonderful Variety of an Egyptian Adventure...

November 2006

Visitors Enjoy the Wonderful Variety of an Egyptian Adventure

Recent visitors to Egypt enjoyed an Egyptian adventure spanning many of the different activities the country has to offer.

To kick off their trip, the visitors went to Memphis and Sakkarah, ancient sites 35 kilometers from Cairo. Among this vast group of monuments is the famous pyramid of Imotep, which is the first pyramid to have been built and the first large-scale discovery of stone known in the world. Also included is the funeral complex of King Djezer and his family, the Serapeum. This complex includes the beautiful multi-layered pyramid of Ounas and other structures which include murals and inscriptions that are stunning examples of ancient Egyptian tombs.

After the visit to Sakkarah, the guests enjoyed refreshments as well as a camel jaunt, riding these ships of the desert to their next mode of transport: a set of 4x4 vehicles.

To cap off their whirlwind visit, the visitors took off in their 4x4 vehicles for an unforgettable hour-long desert safari through to Sakkarah Country Club, where a lunch buffet awaited them. All in all, a truly memorable adventure!
