The Latest from Egypt...

November 2012

Egypt's prime minister inaugurated the re-opening of Taba Sea Port in South Sinai. The Taba-Aqaba tourist maritime line was re-opened last Saturday 30 September, following an 18-month closure.

Taba Heights Marina was granted an International Tourist Marina license in July 2005, the Taba Heights Marina is the first legitimate port of entry in the region.

Taba Heights guests have the opportunity to visit Jordan and the ancient city of Petra, thanks to the three new catamarans that reduce travel time between Taba & Aqaba to 60 minutes each way with a capacity of over 100 passengers

The Egyptian P.M. Dr. Hisham Qandil said the line would serve the two countries' tourism interests, as more than 250,000 tourists use the route annually, generating about $250 million of revenues for both countries.

The breathtaking setting and ideal location of Taba Heights is complemented by an offering of luxurious four and five-star hotels managed by Hyatt, Marriott, Intercontinental and Sofitel. These worldwide hospitality leaders provide an unparalleled experience in relaxation and leisure in the land of sea and sky. As a guest, your every desire will be provided for at all Taba Heights hotels.

Each hotel offers an astonishing array of services and comforts set in innovative, state-of-the-art facilities designed for those who wish simply to sit back and enjoy. Championship 18-hole golf course, swimming pools, massage, gourmet cuisine and awe-inspiring views are only a few of the features offered at Taba Heights. The hotels' architectural styles each take a slightly different creative angle on the region's rich cultural heritage, but the concern and professionalism of the staff never vary.

New Zealand’s House of Travel Merivale wins top Egypt award

House of Travel Merivale has been presented with Top Sales Egypt Award on behalf of Ancient Kingdoms Holidays.

The award was recently presented by Robyn Galloway, MD of The Innovative Travel Company and Egyptian business partner, Cairo based Elhamy El Zayat; NZ  Order of Merit.

Elhamy congratulated the team and says that he expects that tourism to Egypt will continue to increase as the road to democracy becomes more settled.

Importantly, with 35 years’ experience in Egyptian tourism, Elhamy reiterated that it is safe for tourists to continue to travel to Egypt.

We receive over 45,000 tourists a year who are being warmly welcomed and making the most of the shorter queues and who feel safe during their travels.

With offices in Cairo, Alexandra, Luxor, Aswan, Sharm el Sheikh and Abu Simbel, clients also benefit from being looked after by local representatives.

MD Robyn Galloway says Innovative Travel continues to have absolute confidence in their local business partner and welcomes the returning interest in Egypt.
