Best of River Rhine & River Mosel

Day One

Arrival to Boppard in the early afternoon

Celts, Romans and Franconians have left their mark on the 2,000 year old history of Boppard, which is located in the romantic valley of the Loreley as well as on the heights of the nearby Hunsrück Hills.

After check in, meeting with an English speaking guide for a guided city walk.
Remainder of day at leisure.
Dinner and overnight in Boppard.

 

Day Two

Full day Rhine rivercruise from Boppard to Bingen, passing famous Loreley Rock, vineyards, and ancient castles.

Brief stop in Bingen, which is famous throughout the world for its “ice wine”, and possibly enjoying one if its wine pubs or vineyard restaurants.

Return to Boppard in the late afternoon.

 

Day Three

After breakfast, departure for Bernkastel-Kues, which is located in the Mosel Valley, with a stop at Eltz Castle, one of the most beautiful castles in Germany.

After check in, meeting with an English speaking guide for a guided walk through the romantic old town of Bernkastel-Kues, followed by a wine tasting.

Dinner and overnight in the area of Bernkastel-Kues.

 

Day Four

After breakfast, departure for a Mosel river cruise from Bernkastel-Kues to Trier.
Individual lunch on board of the cruise ship.

Upon arrival in Trier, meeting with an English speaking guide for a guided walk in Trier, focusing on wine.

Trier is not just Germany's oldest city; it is also one of the most important wine ‘metropolis'. Lots of sights have a very close relation to wine.

Remainder of afternoon at leisure.
Farewell dinner in a nice local restaurant in the center of Trier and return to Bernkastel-Kues area in the late evening.
