Greek Cooking Demonstration...

With Greek cuisine ever increasing in popularity worldwide, CONCEPTOURS now offers its clientele a Greek cooking demonstration followed by a sumptuous lunch paired with selected fine Greek wines.

One of the several restaurants utilized is the five-star Apiron restaurant on the magical island of Santorini. A brief description of this experience follows:

The Apiron’s chef and his team welcome guests to the chic cave-style lounge of the restaurant which offers a spectacular view of the dazzling Aegean Sea.

The award-winning chef demonstrates the local products and the art of Santorini cooking. On a long table, a rich variety of freshly produced and hand-picked products are revealed. Highlights are fava beans, barley rusks, sun-ripened tomatoes, eggplants, black eyed peas, wild capers and extra virgin olive oil. A young goat is slowly cooked in the oven wrapped in cooking paper. Last but not least, fresh fish and seafood, just fished from the Aegean’s clear blue waters are attentively cooked.

The chef starts preparing some wonderfully simple and delicious dishes using the above mentioned products; recipes that are inspired from sun and sea in front of the guests who watch savoring an aperitif.

At the same time the chef explains the cooking procedure and how each product is produced or found.

After the cooking demonstration, guests are directed to the restaurant’s terrace with its spectacular infinity view of the volcano and the dazzling Aegean Sea. Each course is paired with exquisite white, red and dessert wines from local wine-makers.

Guests indulge in a superb lunch served in an atmospheric restaurant with breathtaking views in one of the world top destinations, the island of Santorini.

Recipe cards are distributed so that guests can try cooking at home for their friends and family.
