Suggestions for half day program in Budapest

Leisure and Pleasure?

We offer you a half day program including lunch at Kincsem Park offering a unique atmosphere in a spectacular venue!

The main racecourse of Hungary was founded in 1925 as a gallop track. After a redevelopment in 2005 it became the home of the Hungarian gallop as well as trotting racing.

The new grandstand seats 3500 people; at the top floor of the building you can find a panoramic restaurant with a great view of the whole racetrack. Kincsem Park has one of the oldest parade rings in Europe where race-goers may enjoy the shadow under the huge trees.

On Saturdays and Sundays open races are awaiting visitors with free entrance and 200 HUF minimum bets, and the beautiful view of the Panoramic Restaurant offers lunch, dinner or coffee break for your group.

Trotting on the racecourse – on Saturdays
Guests can experience the race from up close, since it is possible to get on a ”sulky” race car, with a professional company.

‘Gallop’race - on Sundays
The race offers a real turf for the spectators. During these moments guests can live all the magic of the race: the parade, the start, betting and the presentation of the ”trophy” for the winner.
Gallop: 2000 metres oval, turf surface, right-handed, 450 metres run-in; 1300 metres straight, turf surfaxe; 1870 metres oval, dirt surface, right-handed, 400 metres run-in;
Trotting: 1200 metres oval, left-handed, 10 % angle at the corners.
