Sziget Festival • 11-18 August, 2014 • Hajógyári Sziget

Sziget Festival, a week-long series of various events opens its gates on 11 August, less than two weeks away! Passes are selling with record speed, but it’s still not too late to make up your mind. If you’re a late decider, here’s the almost full picture of why this one could be your top choice as a festival-holiday in 2014.

Sziget Festival is taking place in Óbudai or Hajógyári Sziget, a former shipyard, in the middle of the Danube; the island hosts rock, pop, world music concerts, cultural, civil, literary and other events. Sziget Festival won the Best European Major Festival title at the European Festival Awards in 2011.
