Palace of Arts

The newly opened Palace of Arts is a sensational addition to the cultural scene of Budapest, a new appealing venue for meeting planners.

The Palace of Arts, a cultural investment unparalleled in 150 years, repays a 150-year-old dept. A place to safeguard and further develop the cultural identity and values of Hungary.
This multifunctional and extraordinary architectural highlight covers 10.000 square meters on the Pest side of Lágymányos Bridge, next to the equally new and enchanting National Theatre.
The total surface of the building is 70.000 square meters. Under the common roof, the impressive lobby is shared by three main institutions: the Ludwig Museum, the National Concert Hall and the Festival Theatre granting grandiose seating capacities also for private festive occasions:
The National Concert Hall with its latest state-of-the-art technical equipment can compete with the world’s leading concerts halls, meeting the highest acoustic requirements, and realized by ARTEC/Russel Johnson.
Seating capacity: 1800
The Festival Theatre can accommodate 500 pax.
Other multifunctional spaces, breath-taking panorama terraces, service areas add to the main institutions.

Hotel news

Hotel Sofitel (ex Hyatt Regency) underwent a major refurbishing in the past few years. The next phase of the renovation will start this March. 10 million euros will be invested in the reconstruction of the restaurants, the lobby and reception. The works will be scheduled from March to May and from June to August.

So, three diamonds of the hotel industry in one neighbourhood offer a great opportunity for meeting planners and allow accommodating some 1800 guests at Four Seasons, Intercontinental and Sofitel.
