BUD SkyCourt

The new BUD SkyCourt terminal was added by Budapest Airport as part of its major airport development project.
The building will offer 12 new passenger security screening channels, 12 new border crossing points, five new boarding bus gates in addition to the existing ten jetties and eleven bus gates, 54 new check-in counters and 16 new self-check-in kiosks. Approximately 1,000 people worked in three shifts under the contractor’s direction to ensure that shops and service premises can be handed over to the tenants on time.

The scale of the project is illustrated by the fact that, in accordance with initial calculations, the SkyCourt itself cost 70 million EUR, and the entire project together with the related works cost a total of 102 million EUR.

Budapest Airport held the official opening ceremony of the SkyCourt on 18 May 2011. As of now, Malév, the Hungarian Airline, will provide its customers with the most attractive and spacious business lounge in the SkyCourt terminal at Ferihegy International Airport.
