Iceland – The Center Of Attention!

October 2011

Icelanders have long been considered incurably optimistic. While a number of airlines are scaling down their flight schedules, Icelandair is increasing its number of flights by 13% between 2011 and 2012. Iceland will be connected by direct flights to 31 destinations in Europe and the US, with up to 400 flights a week.
The main increase is going to be during the ideal incentive seasons, outside of the core summer months. This flight schedule makes Iceland an even more attractive destination by increasing the flexibility of the travel arrangements. Iceland is closer than you think, with a flying time less than three hours from London, and just over five hours from New York City.

Fly in from one of the 31 key gateways and enjoy, for example, an active high-end program which could include the following:

Day 1
Arrival early afternoon. Super 4X4 vehicles awaiting outside of the airport. The fun starts right away: a unique 4X4 self-drive experience through the lava-laid landscape of theReykjanes peninsula, with off-road challenges and boiling mud-pools, ending at a four-star country hotel in the south of Iceland.

Day 2
The Super 4X4 experience continues, up to glacier tongues to enjoy a hike or snowmobile rides at the top, black sand safari at the coastline (you really need to experience this to know what we are talking about!) and a drive at the foot of the magnificent mountain ring of the south with its numerous waterfalls and steep cliffs. Return to Reykjavík to enjoy its outstanding hotels, restaurants and nightlife.

Day 3
The famous Golden Circle with a twist. A close encounter with a glacier river with a river rafting adventure on theHvítá river, a barbeque lunch in a forest shed and a super 4x4 adventure along the way. Farewell dinner in downtown Reykjavík – followed by a lively nightlife.

Day 4
An early morning return flight.

All of the above can be enjoyed for less than € 1,600 per person, including all meals and house wine.
