New Activity Ideas

GPS Treasure Hunt

Navigate your way around any town or village in Ireland with your very own GPS. You can accurately locate the clues and tasks by just working with your own handheld satellite navigator.  You will be given detailed instructions to ensure you are confident when setting off; your team booklet will also provide help (see below). A fun new idea to add a new dimension to the ordinary Treasure Hunt and creates excitement and awakens new skills! Great fun!

Antiques Quiz in Number 10

Number 10 is a beautifully restored Georgian house located on the quays in the centre of Dublin.  Its owner, Mr. John Lynch, has a wonderful collection of magnificent antiques, and fine and Modern Irish Art.  Groups are welcome to visit the house during the day, subject to availability, for a very special experience of Tea.

Guests are invited to the Salon or Library – depending on the size of the group – and introduced to John Lynch.  John talks of the history of the house and then introduces Roxanne Moorehead, a renowned Irish Antiques Expert.  Roxanne gives a general overview of Irish Antiques, escorts the guests around the various rooms and speaks of the collection within the house. Roxanne then explains that there are 6 numbered antique items on display.  Guests are given a sheet of paper and pen with a brief description of each item.   Guests are invited to tick which of three values they believe to be the appropriate price of the items.   The sheets are then collected and the group is brought to the Gallery Picture Room where guests are seated for “Tea at Number 10” with John Lynch.  Meanwhile their sheets are scored and the winner is announced and presented with a prize.
Program duration between 1.5 - 2 hours depending on the size of group.
