Cashel Travel - Irish Charm!

July 2017

Cashel Travel was founded in 2000 in Ireland by James Aitken, who has 30 years? experience in the travel industry. He previously owned and sold Balmoral Travel and Mackenzie River Travel. The company was created as an independent family run business and this is how it remains today. Being a Scotsman, he eventually chose to move back to Scotland and relocated the company headquarters to Edinburgh in 2007. After a few moves and staff additions, the company is now headquartered in a historic landmark near Edinburgh's shore.

James Aitken was a consultant for Clansman Monarch and MacItalia. Currently, he is President of the Scottish chapter of SITE, the Society of Incentive and Travel Executives. He is a member of the travel trade and business tourism steering group at VisitScotland. He is also Treasurer and a member of the board of UKinbound.

Marta Kucharczyk joined Cashel Travel in 2003. Previously, she worked as a lecturer in Poland in Polish literature. She oversees the operations department and is the joint owner.

So, what has Ireland got to offer?

There is usually lots of talk about charm around the Celtic countries, but can you get more charming than the Irish? Some believe you can?t and we won?t argue that. A historical wonderland drenched in Celtic traditions and mystery. Ireland has endless stories to tell, and one thing the Irish love to do is talk. Ireland is arguably the friendliest place on the planet, and a pub culture like no other. This is the place to go when you want to mingle and fit right in.

Guinness, yes, the black stuff! Well it?s actually dark ruby red believe it or not. Still, it?s one of the first things people think about when mentioning Ireland. Great whiskey and traditional music too. But the scenery is just as spectacular as Scotland, England or Wales. From the Cliffs of Moher, to Glendalough, right up to the Giant?s Causeway, Ireland has spectacular natural attractions along with ancient historical buildings and castles.

The choices of activities are endless and many are unique to Ireland. How about c
