The destination Montenegro...

March 2015

It is no secret that Montenegro is becoming one of Europe?s most popular incentive destinations.
Located in southeast Europe, this jewel of the Mediterranean has a lot to show and tell. The country embraces all the captivating contrasts of an entire continent within a comparatively small territory. No one can resist the charm of glorious gulf of Boka Kotorska or the pure beauty of Montenegrin North.

The history of Montenegro is a fusion of drama and romance, and every part of this land will tell the curious visitor many interesting stories from the days of the Roman Empire till today?s modern times.

Montenegro is the smallest of six Ex-Yugoslav countries, fully independent since 2006. The capital city is Podgorica and the official language is Montenegrin.
Its territory covers 13.812 km2 and it has about 630.000 habitants.

The president is the head of the state, the official flag (and the national Colours) is red, the National Day is 13th of July and the Independence Day is 21st of May. The military is professional, the main religion is orthodox, the economy is mostly service-based and the official currency is Euro.

Montenegro might be relatively small, but you?ll be surprised by some of its unique facts. It has five unique national parks, UNESCO protected old towns, one of the world?s deepest canyons -Tara River, the biggest lake in the Balkans ?Skadar and a rare fjord on the Adriatic coast -Boka Bay.

The Sport in Montenegro revolves mostly around team sports: football, basketball, water polo, volleyball and handball. Water Polo is one of the most popular sports in the country. The national team ?Sharks? won the gold medal at the 2008 European Championship in Malaga, and the silver medal at the 2013 World Championship in Barcelona.

There are numerous reasons to visit Montenegro, a magical place that leaves no one indifferent.
