Good to know!

The spring is particularly warm and pleasant with temperatures around 23-26 C in Marrakech.

Arabic is the language used in Morocco, but you will also be understood in French and English in many places.

The time is the same in Morocco most of the year as Greenwich Mean Time or universal time.

The national currency is the dirham. It cannot be converted outside the Kingdom's borders.

Passport & Visa
Being in possession of a valid passport is compulsory. No visa is required for European Union Citizens.

Day1: Marhaban! (Welcome to Marrakech, The Pearl of the South)

Arrival at Marrakech’s airport, meet and assist by your guides and S’Tours representative. Transfer to your hotel by deluxe motor coaches.

Guides will introduce the destination and give the guests an overview of the program.

Enjoy a warm sweet tea and a welcome dinner at hotel

Day 2 AM: Taste of Marrakech inside the Medina

The group will be split into smaller units and escorted by local guides throughout different itineraries in the Medina.

This special tour is a complete immersion into the Moroccan culture and family lifestyle. With your guide you will discover some places that have been part of Marrakech daily life for centuries.

  • Fernatchi & Hammam: The “Oven Man “is placed on the back side of a Hammam to heat the rooms using old basic techniques. You will get explanations about the high importance of Hammams in the Islamic culture.
  • Ferrane : The local oven down an alleyway in dark low room where people bake their daily bread , watch the man in charge using long poles, sliding flat trays of dough into the fire.
  • Foundouks: A roadside inn where travelers/traders used to rest and recover from the journey or stay while they sold and bought goods before they head back to their countries.
  • Private home: At the end of the tour, you will be hosted by a local family to enjoy a tea break in the patio of a private Riad for a true Moroccan experience. This is an opportunity to chat with your local hosts about Moroccan culture and customs.
  • After lunch at Terrasse des Epices, enjoy a tour of the Souks & Jama Fna Square.

Day 2 PM: Discovery of the unique souk atmosphere

Explore the colorful souks (marketplaces) of Marrakech. Each trade – spices, carpets, jewelry, enamel, copper, brass, and leather - is situated in its unique quarter.

Bargain and shop for some excellent locally produced handicrafts. Your guide will introduce you to only the finest craftsmen with the very best fabric and silver sellers and assist with bartering ensuring you get the best value possible for your Dirhams.

Meet the artisans in their workshops
Well away from the tourist trails and tucked against the back walls of the medina are the artisans working in workshops where many of the wonderful products on sale in the souks are manufactured.

Families work together and fathers train sons to create different items. Skilled craftsmen create new designs daily using ancient tools and reinvigorate time-honored trades such as blacksmithing, saddle-making and lute-carving, trellises, lanterns, wall lights hanging lanterns.

Continue to the place you can’t miss - The Unesco World Heritage Site Jama Fna Square - the beating heart of the city!

Feature of Marrakech: Food Tasting in the magic Jama Fna, Marrakech’s “open air Theatre”

As you emerge from the maze of the souks you enter the frenetic Djemaa el Fnaa. The square is a fantastic introduction to the country and its people. It provides ever-changing entertainment, reaching its climax at sunset when the square is alive with storytellers, healers, snake charmers, acrobats, and countless food stalls labeled with numbers ranging from 1-100, the stalls all serve home-cooked Moroccan favorites like savory tajines and couscous, skewered meat and fish on the grill and of course, iconic Moroccan mint tea. Enjoy a delicious freshly squeezed orange juice and time at leisure before you get back to your hotel.

Palais Soleman: a Jewel of Moroccan Archiutecture

An extravagant 19th-century mansion, the literally palatial surroundings with candlelit tables scattered around a vast and stately courtyard, covered by a retractable roof on cooler evenings.

This palace once belonged to one of Marrakesh's last great chiefs, Caïd Layadi. Its extraordinary architecture has been well-preserved: carved wood and painted ceilings, ancient zellijs and majestic space.

Day 3: Full Day Activities

Option 1: Hot air ballooning
Early wake up with 5am departure from the hotel to reach take off site by 6:00.

Depending on the number of participants we can do a touch and go (where half of the group sets off in the balloon and the other half follow off road in a 4x4 and in the middle of the flight they exchange) The flights end around 09:30am when a typical Berber breakfast will be served (coffee, homemade bread dipped in olive oil and honey) in one of the nearby villages.

Lunch & Fun in the Sun at Nikki Beach!
Set in the heart of the Palmeraie, Nikki Beach is a charming oasis with a relaxed and sophisticated ambience.

Under the pleasant sun surrounded exotic perfumes and beautiful palm trees. Taste a refined international cuisine with an Oriental touch. Sip the best cocktails and fine wines as you let yourself be enchanted by the music of the resident DJ. Enjoy time in the cabana beds. Finish off by having a massage in the excellent Spa of Palmeraie Hotels & Resorts.

Back to hotel and free time until Gala Dinner in Palm Grove Camp

Option 2:  Rally Marrakech Express with iPads
Participants are divided into teams. After a short briefing, they will start searching In the old medina for steps using their tablets which will be equipped with an application that allow them to find the information at each step.

The different applications will be prepared and installed in advance. At each stage, information will be assigned and credited (depending on the 3G network in the Medina)

Road book: Containing all the clues and information on all of the steps to visit and the tests to pass on each step. It contains also a quiz about Moroccan history and culture.

Activities/tests and challenges during the rally:    
- Dress and play Gnawa music in Jama Fna Square
- Make and sell orange juice in stalls of Jama Fna
- Try on Moroccan outfits in Semmarine Souk
- Blind spice test by smelling in the market
- Discover natural pigment in the dyer's souk
- Zellij workshop in a Foundouk (old hotel)
- Visit to a local oven
- Bargaining in the souks

Option 3: Atlas Mountains Adventure
After breakfast at your hotel, head on 4x4 vehicles with drivers towards the magnificent Atlas Mountains in the heart of Berber country to enjoy the breathtaking sceneries of valleys, villages and open landscapes.

There are tiny villages clinging to the steep hillsides, waterfalls and rocky landscapes merging with the ubiquitous desert - a wild and enticing combination on the edge of the Western Atlas. This day trip can be chauffeured or on self-drive basis with a road book.

Activities to be included during the day in the Atlas Mountains.

  • Corporate Social Responsibility: Different CSR projects can be combined with the Atlas Mountains trip, as well as interaction with the Berbers. We will make few stops to meet local people and give donations to families (clothes, school furniture, toys) The objective is to combine the discovery of this fantastic area with charity and encourage interaction with the very friendly local community
  • Olive trees planting: Olive trees are an important fruit tree in Morocco. It covers about 55% of the total area planted with fruit trees. There are about 50 million trees, covering around 580,000 ha in the country. Participants will have plants ready, gloves, pickaxes and watering cans.
    Assistants will show and help the guests to do this task. Holes will be done in advance by workers, guests will have just to put the trees in and water them.
  • Berber Cooking Classes: We go to join a real Berber family in their home and learn about the techniques of traditional Berber cooking methods and spices. This is a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the Moroccan culture and to bring home some delicious and authentic Moroccan traditional recipes.
  • Falconry is an Art! In this workshop/show, you will be given full secrets of the art of falconry! After explanations of wild falcon catching - used in this area for hunting, characteristics, and feeding, you will have a presentation of different dressage stages, training and a flying demonstration of this magnificent bird.
  • Lunch – Kasbah Beldi
    Located on the shore of the Lalla Takerkoust Lake, the Kasbah Beldi is a garden-restaurant-hotel built on a hill overhanging the lake. The terraces, a restaurant with a view on the lake, two swimming pools between lake and mountain, a vegetable garden to walk around between vineyards, olive trees and on the lake shore… the garden covers the entire hill so the view is spectacular.

After lunch, enjoy fun activities around the lake:

  • Camel ride: Discover this amazing animal incredibly adapted to desert life. To enjoy the full magic of the great desert camel treks, we provide a traditional shesh (Scarf) and a gandora tunic. Discover the millennial packed mud walls and experience for a while the magic of the desert caravans that once followed these same paths.
  • Quads: Experience the best quad tracks from Lake Takerkoust to the dunes of Agafay desert. Explore the foot of the mighty High Atlas Mountains with a choice of easy or challenging trails winding through eucalyptus forests and lush hidden canyons to the Agafay Desert and its arid hills that look like dunes floating against the sky. 

Back to Marrakech in the late afternoon, free time until dinner in tented camp.

Exclusive Berber Feast in the Palm Grove
Dine under the desert stars in an exclusive tented dinner surrounded by lush palm trees in the Palmeraie. As the red sun sinks and night falls, relax at low tables on colorful carpets to watch traditional folkloric dance and listen as a local storyteller recalls the tales of 1001 nights and legends of the desert. Delight in a feast of a delicious Moroccan meal.

A village of nomadic and caudal tents will be set up in a private space exclusively for your event. The area will be covered with red traditional Moroccan carpets and nicely decorated with candles, special lighting, cushions and pillows.

The group will be welcomed by folkloric bands; the guests will be served a tea or cocktail. Throughout the evening, enjoy entertainment performances around a fire camp by belly dancers, acrobats, jugglers, Gnawa musicians, fire spitters and folklore bands.

Transfer to hotel at leisure and overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Maa Salama!  (Goodbye Marrakech)

After breakfast at hotel and morning at leisure, say goodbye to Marrakech, according to your flight schedule transfer to Marrakech’s airport. Assistance in departure formalities.
