Unique Seafood Restaurant...

The ultimate seafood experience can now be found only a 20 minute, private boat ride away from the city centre of Bergen. Enjoy the freshest of fresh seafood in the middle of the Norwegian Fjord country!

Walk to the Bergen harbor and board a boat for a 1 hour cruise through the archipelago. Western Norway\'s coastline is long and varied, broken by countless islands, skerries and fjords. The contrasts between open sea and narrow fjords cutting far inland provide an ideal pre-dinner cruise experience.

The cruise ends at a small island called Holmen where a unique seafood restaurant is located. The restaurant, Cornelius, is a unique and popular dining destination on the north-west side of island Bjorøy, with spectacular views of the fjord and islands close to Bergen.

Here, groups will enjoy an unforgettable culinary experience:
On arrival, guests are welcomed on the quay with oysters and drinks.  The Shellfish farmer presents and offers samples from the water tanks: oysters, scallops, mussels, lobster, as well as several types of fish and sea urchins.  Guests may dine in one of the three restaurants areas indoors or on the terrace. The quay bar is an informal meeting place. The main kitchen is equipped so that guests may participate in seafood courses as well.  

The group can also enjoy a unique “From Sea to Plate” show,  in which the chef dives down with a camera and pick up oysters etc from the sea floor, all shown on a big screen live in the restaurant. The diver comes up and walks into the restaurant, takes off his equipment and then shows the guests how to prepare the food in the open kitchen – all filmed and shown on the screen so that the guest can see!

Price per person approx. NOK 1250.- including selected wines and other beverages. Transfer to/from island is only possible by boat.
Boat charter is not included in above estimate.
