Why Warsaw or what’s new in Poland’s Capital…

October 2003

The Westin Warsaw
A modern 20 story sky-scraper located in the heart of the new part of the city in “Warsaw Manhattan” – at John Paul II Avenue, close to the Central Railway Station and the symbol of the city, the Palace of Culture and Science. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the Old Town area. The facade of the building is dominated by a glass tube, in which panoramic lifts are located. In all hotel rooms guests have at their disposal a so-called “heavenly bed”: an intelligent bed adapting itself to the guest’s body. The restaurant – Fusion – serves dishes of international cuisine.
The hotel has 361 rooms, conference capacity for 600 pax in 10 rooms, banquet capacity for 420 pax, reception capacity for 550 pax as well as a sauna and fitness center.

The highest hotel of Warsaw (45 stories) – and the most extraordinary hotel building in the city with its one “leg” rising up to the middle of the structure. The whole facade is covered by glass. Its location is perfect – just a few steps away from the Central Railway Station and the Palace of Culture and Science – in the very heart of the city’s business center.
The hotel has 406 rooms, conference capacity for 600 pax in 7 rooms, banquet capacity for 350 pax, reception capacity for 700 pax as well as a fitness center and an indoor swimming pool.

The total number of rooms of five star standard in Warsaw reaches almost 3,000, thus giving us a chance to organize huge conferences like the 9th European Conference on Clinical Aspects and Treatment of HIV-Infection, which will be held on October 26th-29th, 2003 for a total number of expected participants is 2,500 at the
Warsaw International Expocentre - Expo XXI.
One of the most modern and definitely the biggest venue in the Polish capital that can easily accommodate international congresses, conferences and seminars with its huge exhibition space of 9,000 square meters and a height of pavilions up to 8 meters. The center is very conveniently located, approximately 2 kilometers from the heart of the city, and is equipped with the latest IT and telecommunication systems. The other advantage of this place is its flexible space arrangement.
Maximum conference capacity: 4,300
Maximum banquet capacity: 3,000
Maximum reception capacity: 5,500

But not only big hotels and convention centers are to be found here. This year saw also the opening of a charming and stylish hotel in the heart of 19th century Warsaw:

Hotel “Rialto”
This elegant boutique hotel is located in a 19th century house, discreetly situated on the outskirts of the Warsaw Business district. It is the first de-luxe boutique hotel in the city. Art Deco in theme and design, all of the hotel’s rooms and suites have been individually and uniquely designed and decorated with original art and furniture of the period. The hotel has 44 individually designed rooms and seems to be an ideal place for small incentive groups coming to Warsaw

And last but not least some information about the newest top class restaurant in Poland’s capital:

Villa Nuova
Located in a green and quiet exclusive residential area of Warsaw called Wilanów, next to the famous Baroque Palace of King Jan III Sobieski.
The restaurant is housed in a late 18th century villa. Masterpieces of the chef’s culinary art are served in elegant interiors furnished with authentic furniture. The restaurant is very famous for its elegant banquets or garden parties.
They serve Polish and International cuisine. Just a few examples: traditional Polish pâté of wild boar, hare and duck, old Polish mushroom soup with home made dumplings “lazanki”, fillet of Baltic flounder served with “kurki” mushrooms and asparagus or Polish dumplings with bilberries.

Any kind of meeting or incentive could be organized in Warsaw, because of its infrastructure improving year by year.
Why Warsaw? The answer is very simple: the place is just perfect for a successful meeting!
