Warsaw presents its new advantage
a state of the art Convention Center...

January 2006

Symbolized by a mermaid who foretold its founding, Warsaw has long been a busy metropolis, comparable to other main European centers such as Paris, Vienna or Rome. But small wonder that the mermaid brandishes a sword, for the city had to fight for its life during World War II, and then rebuilt from ruins and memories. So heroic were these efforts that the word ?Warsaw? evokes admiration around the world.

Yet, the current Polish capital is not a sad city, but one which pays the greatest tribute to the past by leading a normal, bustling city life that was then just a dream. Warsaw lives on in the enchanting cobbled streets, cafes, restaurants and galleries of the Old Town, perfectly rebuilt from ruins. It lives on among the office blocks, shops and bargain-filled bazaars of the city center. Moreover it lives among the musicians and watercolor artists who bring the streets to life, in the grander surroundings of the magnificent Opera House, and in the spacious beauty of the Lazienki Park, where the summer Sunday mornings witness concert audiences freed from their daily cares as the romantic sounds of Chopin?s music drift through the warm and scented air of a rose garden.

As meetings/convention destination Warsaw has not been present in the ?European First League? because of the lack of a modern, professionally designed convention centre, which could cater for the various needs.
Finally, after years of discussions and projects, a decision has been made and Hilton will be opening a Hotel & Convention Center in July 2006.

The complex is conveniently located ? about 2 km from the very city center, which is symbolized by the Palace of the Culture and Science ? an architectural cornerstone of Poland?s capital and about 4 km from the Old City.
This very modern structure will provide 314 rooms (including 11 suites), ground floor restaurant, lobby bar, trendy bar accessible directly from the street, a fitness club & spa with a 200 sq.m. swimming pool.
The Warsaw Hilton has 13 meeting rooms as well as Convention Hall, which is the biggest venue of its kind in the city. Dimensions of the Hall - 44,5 x 31,6 x 5,0 meters ? give a lot of opportunities. Just a few examples ? the Hall is a perfect place for a meeting for up to 1.850 persons in theater style, up to 810 in classroom set up, 1.040 for seated dinner and up to 1.500 for a cocktail reception.
A huge foyer seems to be a proper completion - ideal for coffee breaks, luncheons, registration services and exhibitions.

Just a few basic details of the Warsaw Hilton:
Opening: July 2006
Quantity of rooms: 314
Conference capacity maximum: 1.800
Number of conference rooms: 13 plus convention hall
Banquets capacity maximum: 1.040
