Slovenia, a VIP destination!

August 2017

An example of a VIP incentive in Slovenia...

Despite Slovenia still being considered a new destination, it is becoming increasingly recognized for its pure and unspoiled nature, beautiful cities, and phenomenal cuisine. This is what makes Slovenia capable of producing what VIP clients might be looking for. DT Slovenia wants to seize this opportunity, and is offering a sample program specifically designed for the most demanding guests.

This program is made for small groups. It is intended for guests who wish to spend a weekend in Slovenia, and to experience something special and unique from all aspects.

Description:

Arrival: Upon arrival to the airport, guests face with the first treat: driving vintage cars to Bled. It is a fun ride, full of nostalgia. When they arrive to Vila Bled they are asked to board the traditional Pletna boat that takes them to the island. On the island, they draw different names, putting them into into teams by 4. They will return to Vila Bled, on the spot where guests left their old timer sports cars are waiting. All cars are tagged, so teams can easily find their vehicles.

Through the alpine region of Kranjska gora, over the Vrsic pass and along the emerald beauty of Soca river, the guests drive to Kobarid, where the best restaurant in Slovenia is located. After lunch, guests are taken to Bovec airport where they board the planes and go on a panoramic flight. Guests will land in Portoroz and check-in to a prestigious hotel and get ready for dinner. Dinner is set on the top of a breathtaking cliff, looking down on the beautiful saltpans of Secovlje.

Departure: The following morning, guests check-out from the hotel and board a private yacht, where they have a late breakfast. After arriving in Koper, guests are taken to Postojna where they will dress up as cave explorers and have the adventure of a lifetime. In the cave, they have to pass a number of obstacles, just to reach the main hall. Once they arrive in the main hall, a private concert is prepared for them with a sparkling wine reception. After the concert, guests will drive to the capital, to the master chef restaurant for the late lunch.

Facts:

Vintage: without a doubt, vintage cars offer a unique experience as guests can literary go back in time and feel the excitement of driving cars like Citroen DS, Dyane, Ami or even Mehari.

Vila Bled: Once a summer residence of Marshal Josip Broz Tito, a leader of former Yugoslavia, is now a prestigious accommodation. According to CNN, it is one of 7 most beautiful lakeside lodges from New York to Italy.
With its history and beautiful design, Vila Bled is definitely a place for the most demanding guests. In the park we can organize Kremšnita (cream cake) tasting, while guests can admire the lake and the Island.

Sports cars: Slovenia is full of beautiful roads, which take you through the Alpine mountain passes and valleys, passing lakes and rivers. Is there a better way to drive on those roads than with sports cars?

Panoramic flight: Experiencing Slovenia from the air is something really special. Before landing in Portoroz, guests will fly above Alps and will be able to see Lakes Bohinj and Bled, the highest Slovenian mountain Triglav (2864m), the Capital (Ljubljana) and much more.

Kempinski Palace Portoroz: Built in 1910, Hotel Palace (Kempinski) is one of the oldest and most prestigious hotels in Slovenia. When it was built it was known to be the second most beautiful hotel on the Adriatic coast, just after Excelsior from Venice. In 2008 it has been completely renovated and is now the only 5*S hotel in Slovenia.

Late breakfast on a private yacht: Calm morning sea and a yacht go well together, especially if you add a brunch and beautiful scenery of the Mediterranean coast, while passing by medieval cities of Piran and Isola or cliffs of Strunjan.

Adventure visit of Postojna Cave: Postojna Cave is one of the most beautiful caves in the world. It is more than 20 km long and usually visitors see only 5 km of it.  This adventure visit offers completely different experience, as guests have to dress up as a cave explorers and go through different assignments, like climbing down the cliff or inflating the boat and crossing a river.

Private concert and sparkling wine reception in the cave: Once guests finish their adventure visit, they end up in the concert hall, where a private concert and sparkling wine reception is prepared for them. The concert hall is specialized in acoustics and is a perfect place for different musical performances like jazz or choir.

Intercontinental Ljubljana: This hotel is brand new and is the only 5* hotel in the Capital. It is an important addition to the accommodation options in the city.
Ljubljana is finally becoming a perfect stop for the most demanding guests.
