A different visit in Madrid… don’t miss the Museum Lazaro Galdiano

The Museum Lazaro Galziano is housed in a palace built by the architect Jose Urioste in following Lazaro Galdiano´s instructions. It is of neo-renaissance style with some classic elements. The ceilings were decorated by Eugenio Lucas Villamilwith images related to the use of each room. The palace was finished in 1909 and became a famous meeting place for intellectuals and artists of the time.

Mr. Galdiano was quite a character and art lover. During his life he collected over 12,000pieces of all different kinds and styles, all of them classical art. He had over 750 paintings and a great book collection with many first editions, but also collected sculptures, jewels, armours and furniture.

Now all the rooms at the museum, where they used to discuss about politics or art in Galdiano’s times, are dedicated to house his outstanding private collection, some can be rented to house private events.

Outside of the palace is a beautiful garden where we can imagine Lazaro Galdiano and his wife enjoying summer evenings sitting outside. When the weather allows it, our guests will be able to enjoy a nice cocktail.

You should not miss the opportunity to visit this museum. It gives us some clues about how noblemen lived in the XX century and is a wonderful example of what collectors were in those times. There are so many things to see, that only one visit will not be enough!

Experience the “Trendy Seville”

Explore this beautiful Spanish city and discover the most trendy and “in” places. We will walk you through the newest and hottest spots in Seville. A different Seville yet to be discovered!

Although several new modern properties have recently opened in Seville, we suggest the EME Hotel. This newly inaugurated boutique hotel facing the amazing Giralda is a surprising and stimulating work of art which embraces a new concept of accessible luxury. An avant-garde feeling reigns in the entire hotel. A stylish rooftop terrace and outdoor pool provide an astounding view of the Seville skyline. Do not miss this spot and be sure to enjoy one of the delicious cocktails offered by the experienced barman. If you’re hungry, you should visit Milagritos, their tapas bar.

In the afternoon, and before leaving for dinner, have a drink while enjoying outstanding views at the “Terraza Capote”. This place recreates the feeling of a beach bar in the middle of the city. It overlooks the river and the palm trees and tables are placed together to make this Seville's outdoor hotspot.

Our suggestion for dinner would be Gastronium, located in the area of El Porvenir. This elegant and minimally decorated restaurant is the result of the shared dream of three young Sevillian chefs: to create the best restaurant in the city. This gastronomical restaurant is an unforgettable food experience that one has to live once in his life!

In Seville you will probably want to check out a flamenco show. La Carbonería is an great option, where true fans gather and the flamenco dancing happens spontaneously. It's set in a former warehouse and there are two atmospheric bars for drinking in between shows.

If you are looking for night life afterwards, there are many places you should not miss, including Boss, Seville's most happening club of the moment, it often attracts the country's famous faces. Despite sometimes being a celebrity hangout, it's surprisingly accessible, with a well-dressed crowd filling the space decorated with huge world map murals. The unique “Buddha del Mar” is housed in a former train station and offers a beautiful terrace that is open during the good weather months. With its candlelit low tables, this is the perfect spot for drinks.
