Antonio Banderas gives the Pregón speech for the famous Easter in Málaga

Being a lover of his homeland and one of its main international “ambassadors”, Málaga actor Antonio Banderas gave the Pregón speech for this year’s Semana Santa in the city on Saturday. On Sunday, the actor kept to the tradition that the person giving the Pregón speech should also help to carry the Santisimo Cristo de la Sangre in procession through the city centre streets.
As some of you may already know, one of the most revered religious celebrations in Spain takes place during Semana Santa every April, and Malaga hosts some of the most famous processions in Andalucia. Not only known for its traditional festivities, Malaga has become a hot spot within Spain. This well-known destination is becoming more and more appealing to new visitors!

The recent opening of the Thyssen Museum has brought another reason to visit the city. The museum is an exhibition of twentieth century Spanish art with works by Picasso, Tàpies, Saura and Juan Gris from the collection of the Baroness. Located in the Palacio de Villalon in the historic centre of Malaga, just 500 meters from the Picasso Museum, it was built in the early sixteenth century and has been refurbished with the gorgeous wood ceilings of the epoch. It was during the restoration that archaeological remains of the Roman era, with paintings dating between the centuries II and III were discovered, which makes even more appealing the visit to this treasure!

There are also recently opened five-star properties, including the VINCCI Posada del Patio. This newly-built hotel is located in the historical centre on a spot corresponding to two older buildings, one of which was one of the last inns existing in Malaga, while the other was a residential building whose façade dating from the start of the 20th century has been respected. Nearby also lies the remains of the old Arab wall of Malaga, which has been found under both buildings, along with remains of the old river gate. This is the best-preserved stretch of the Arab wall and the only one that can be viewed from both sides, along which it is possible to stroll using the old circumference road of the city. It is a treasure to be discovered and the perfect place to enjoy this charming and vibrant city!

There are definitely no excuses why not to visit this hot destination!

Barcelona still surprises you...
A new venue in the city perfect for you next event!

I am almost sure that by now most of you have held an event in Barcelona, one of the preferred destinations within our industry for many reasons that make it the perfect spot for any event.
The city has surprised us by announcing the opening of one of a kind venue: La Casa de la Seda.

This new venue is located on the main floor of the Casa dels Velers, the actual headquarters of the “Col·legi de l’Art Major de la Seda”, a Baroque building near the central Gothic Quarter and next to the Palau de la Musica Catalana. Classified as a Patrimony of National Cultural Interest, it preserves in its original facade with many of the engravings of the XVIII century and is the perfect setting for any event.

Enjoying Madrid in spring, even better!

Is there any better way to celebrate that winter has passed than traveling and enjoying such a beautiful city as Madrid? Just like flowers, Madrid also blooms in spring. Although any time of the year is good to visit our lively city, I would say that spring is one of the bests. While it still isn’t very hot outside, terraces open their “doors” and the city boosts more life than ever, if that is even possible!
After enduring cold temperatures and gray days during winter, spring not only brings warmth to Madrid, but it also brings color. And between many spots that allow you to enjoy this beauty, you should not miss the Paseo del Prado, the oldest public garden in Madrid and one of its major boulevards. Wide and surrounded by tulips, daisies and hyacinths, you’ll find several terraces full of charm and history, where you can sit for a drink after a long stroll through the centre of the city and visit the famous El Prado Museum.

After refreshment, keep walking up to El Parque del Retiro, which is the center and green space of the city. This 118 acres park features a walk with statues, the rose garden and several ponds which invite you to sit back and enjoy the sun while admiring the scenery. It is the perfect place for a relaxed stroll and a trip for the senses.

Come and feel Madrid at its maximum splendor!
