Unique Activities Designed With Sustainability Goals

Spanish Heritage DMC designed a set of meaningful destination activities for one of our best corporate client’s event in Barcelona.

With the collaboration of the local sustainable activities suppliers, Spanish Heritage DMC designed two unique activities:

• Paddle & Kayak Beach Clean-up: corresponding to SDG nº 14 – Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development-, the group collected plastics and other waist on the Barceloneta beach and in the sea using kayaks and paddle boards.
• Building Bike for Kids: one of the teams participated in the construction of a real bicycle to be then donated to the special education school belonging to the local CSR (Icaria Iniciatives Socials).

Beside this particular activity, Spanish Heritage DMC collaborates with Icaria Iniciatives Socials along the year. For instance, the printing for their events and their internal needs is mainly handled through Icaria Grafiques, a printing shop that employs people with mental disabilities.
