Pledge and Donate

Buddhism is the main religion in Thailand, practiced by some 95% of the population. One of the many ways to make merit is to make donations to needy temples or other charity.

Our recent corporate group held a Pledge Evening whereby participants wrote a pledge or a wish which could be for any good deed for their family, society or the world and tied the written wish with a gold or silver leaf to a tree during the cocktail reception. Then a donation was made to a Buddhist temple in a rural area.
