In recent years, Krakow has become a city with more and more innovative and creative initiatives in a number of fields. Until recently, it attracted people with the legends, treasury of Polish heritage, European Capital of Culture, and a city bustling with events and rich in unique collections that organize fantastic festivals. Adding to these advantages, economic, or even business arguments have been added as today, Krakow is a place where it is not only worth, but – according to current trends – necessary to organize business meetings or congresses.
Krakow is one of the most recognizable cities in this part of Europe; a favorite destination for individual and organized tourism. New convention centers and the unique interiors of historic buildings are able to provide support and give due weight to any event. Krakow also owes this ability to its friendly and professional hotel infrastructure, catering, entertainment and cultural attractions concentrated around the center, and its proximity to Malopolska, offering countless opportunities for active recreation and unforgettable landscapes.
Besides a wide variety of historical venues, Krakow has more and more unique places, which have recently opened for event purposes. One of them is for sure a new main building of Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow.
The Krakow Aviation Museum took over a few buildings and part of the grounds of the Rakowice-Czyzny airfield, one of the oldest military airfields in Europe.
Formed at Czyzny in 1964, the museum preserves and exhibits aircraft, engines and other items of importance to the world's aviation heritage and these form a premier European collection. The architectural shape of the building is very original – from a bird’s eye view it looks like a rotating propeller. It is a great ‘Gate to the Aviation Theme Park’.
For the organizers of formal dinners, banquets, cocktails, concerts and business meetings, the Museum offers spacious premises – the main hangar and a multi-function room, as well as the exposition room in the Main Building. The venue is a great option for product launches and kick-off meetings. The theme of “Fly High Event” suits many different industries perfectly.
