Norway is known as being powered by its unique nature and world-famous fjords. Increasing number of corporations are now looking to Norway for their events to link in with the obvious elements of ‘sustainability’, ‘green values’ and ‘light foot-print’ for the objective of strengthening their own branding strategies. The primary destination in Norway that feature these elements is the city of Bergen, known as ‘The Gateway to the Norwegian Fjords’.
First United Norway has been operating as a full-service DMC and full-blown PCO for the past 27 years. First United – Euromic member Norway -, located in the city of Bergen, is the only of its kind in Norway today combining these two fields of business, as we are the most internationally oriented company with a substantial portion of our client base being international associations and corporate enterprises.
First United Norway is established as the leading Norwegian inbound Corporate Events & Congress Management company and our staff is well trained and has considerable experience operating every kind of travel related service, whether it is for corporate Incentives, Meetings or Conventions.
The market perception of the Norwegian fjords as a destination is often that is not suitable for larger events due to logistical/geographical challenges and limited quality hotel infrastructure. However, as this may have been a constraint in the past, the city of Bergen and the Norwegian Fjord country is now boosting a range of new high-end hotel properties and activity products catering for large events.
First United was the appointed Housing agent for the 2017 UCI World Road Cycling Championship, one of the world’s largest sporting events, hosted in Bergen.
First United was also the appointed PCO for a 1700 delegate World Tunnelling Congress in 2017, hosted in Bergen.
In addition, First United was also the appointed DMC for Jaguar Land Rover 2017’s Global Media drive in the Norwegian fjord country with nearly 600 guests on 19 back to back rotations.
First United Norway is now involved in event projects for 2019 and 2020 which include a 350 pax, five nights incentive and a congress with 2000 participants, so clients keep on planning for large events in the future.
Keep Bergen and the Norwegian Fjords in mind for your future events as well!
