Dima Tantsiura/Director/Albatros Ukraine
Dima is the CEO of Albatros DMC based in Kiev, Ukraine, started in 2007 he has a staff complement of over 30 and has gone from success to success despite facing many challenges in his destination.
Why the name Albatros for your DMC where does it come from?
It comes from Odessa, which is on the coast, we are lucky to have many seabirds here , but the Albatros is a powerful symbol, renowned for its stamina and resilience, which made it a great symbol for our company.
What do you love most about being the CEO of a successful DMC?
I love to inspire people.
I enjoy getting them excited about our destination and amongst my team I get huge satisfaction from watching them progress and get better all the time.
What’s the most common question you get asked when you tell people you are from the Ukraine?
I get asked a lot - Where is it ? Then I get asked what is there to do there.. the same for many destinations I guess.
What’s your proudest moment?
I value continuous improvement so I am still working on that one.
If you could change anything in the world , what would it be?
That's a hard one , I'd make it impossible to abuse another human being.
What do you love most about Ukraine?
Meeting new people, it's always exciting.
What do you like least about Ukraine?
If you weren’t running a DMC what else would you be doing?
I've always like the idea of being a barman

Early Riser or Night Owl?
I'm becoming an early riser but in fact I'm a night owl and love to stay up late.
What advice would you give to anyone travelling to the Ukraine?
Put your perceptions aside and get ready to be surprised by the reality, it's a wonderful place to visit.
