Michelin star dining in Mendoza

Argentina as a country has just become the first Spanish-speaking country in Latin America to be included in the Michelin guide, with fourteen Argentine restaurants recently receiving stars.

But while other respected guides have often looked just to the capital Buenos Aires, the Michelin guide has taken in, tasted at and awarded restaurants in the Malbec-and-more region of Mendoza as well. Their accolades have reaffirmed the area’s position not just as a gastronomic paradise, but also as an area full of excellent boutique hotels, wonderful wineries, culture and Andes vistas.
