What is Biosphere and how does it speak to World Tourism Day and the theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation”

To be Biosphere Certified, members need to prove and demonstrate, through an independent and internationally recognized process, that they actively integrate sustainability into their operations—environmentally, socially, culturally, and economically.

This certification was developed in collaboration with SDSN-Spain and is aligned with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), recognizing a genuine commitment to making travel better for people, places, and the future.
