Why This DMC?
I grew up in the industry and have always enjoyed showing visitors our part of the world, in an interesting and creative way. Working with corporate events offers great opportunities to do just that. It is also a pleasure to share the local history and showcase the gastronomy. I have an affinity for complex requests with logistically challenging elements.
Kind words.
“This was a highly significant launch for Opel. Our dealer and fleet audiences are vital to the vehicle’s success and this event gave them an extensive opportunity to experience the new Zafira, in ways intended to surprise and stimulate. The service First United delivered was exceptional and Copenhagen is ideal for first class events. We were delighted”.
Jens Hauer, General Motors Europe
“The event was a tremendous success, the gala evening was fabulous and everybody had a great time. Copenhagen more than lived up to our expectations and we would like to thank First United for a wonderful programme”.
Colin Bould, Commonwealth Bank of Australia
“On behalf of the entire Jaguar Land Rover team, I would like to thank you for all of your help and support over the last year pulling together such a successful event. The reports coming in have been incredibly positive! It has been a pleasure to work with you and I hope you feel the same about us and our extended Imagination team.”
Jessica Rumboll, Jaguar Land Rover

FAQ
We know what gets asked a lot about bringing groups to Denmark. Here’s our fast track answers, so you know.
Any time – but most incentives come here from April to October, when the weather is best. Other types of corporate events come around the year – but you can probably get a deal on event space in January and February when it is quieter. Late June to early August is often also good for a deal on hotel and meeting space, as there are no domestic corporate events at this time, as it is our main holiday period.
If you are looking for winter sports activities, Denmark is not cold enough for that – but we can help you with this in Sweden and Norway.
Try a Viking themed activity; sail a Viking ship or have Viking themed dinner. You can also prepare your own Viking food or try out Viking games in full Viking gear. This can all be set in a museum-built replica Viking Royal Hall.
Play to learn. Learn to play – another unique teambuilding option is to use LEGO ® bricks – which is a Danish invention and product. Lego Serious Play is a unique teambuilding concept where you build your ideas, concepts, and solutions in bricks, with professional instructors and communication specialists.
Modern Danish / Nordic cuisine has become world famous. A new innovative take on traditional recipes in a new style, made with local in-season ingredients. We have a lot of Michelin stars to show for it.
You must try Smørrebrød, the traditional open faced sandwiches that are the lunch staple. Goes down well with a Danish beer and a shot of local aquavit. We recommend a open faced work-shop – here you learn how to make your own Danish Smørrebrød. This is also a perfect way to learn about the world-famous Danish concept of “HYGGE”. “HYGGE” is a way of living, a way of wining & dining and a way of enjoying life – we guarantee it will grow on you.
And of course, a real Danish pastry with your coffee or tea.
Yes. In Denmark and the rest of Scandinavia, we can choose from many hotels, meeting venues and restaurants that live up to certified environmental standards. The same is the case for transportation and other types of suppliers. The next level is to consider building touristic content with environmental standards in mind, such as integrating walking, public transport, and bicycles etc.
The Nordic countries are all world leaders in green energy production, waste management, energy saving and other environment improving efforts. Choosing our part of the world is in itself a step in the right direction.
First United is an engaged Travelife member aiming to become Travelife Certified. We’re committed to offer our clients a better and more sustainable choice for meetings, conferences and events in Scandinavia.
Copenhagen is the top destination in Denmark, and incentives typically stay for 3-6 nights. Long haul visitors often combine two locations rather than staying in one place – secondary areas are the cities are Odense, Aarhus and Ålborg and the Danish West Coast on the North Sea. It is also popular to combine with the Norwegian fjords, Oslo (capital of Norway) or Stockholm (capital of Sweden). We can help you in these locations as well.
As the saying goes, “there is no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing” – so wear appropriate clothing or use an umbrella!
Alternatively, opt for our good weather guarantee. We can contract your required perfect weather, and we will guarantee you get it for a pre-paid 25% overall project cost supplement. Our commitment is such, that if the good weather does not materialise, we will refund the supplement – no fuss. 😉
