We know what gets asked a lot about bringing groups to Portugal. Here’s our fast track answers, so you know.
The short answer would be anytime… but as with any destination, there are times which are more suited to MICE travel than others.
In Lisbon these shoulder seasons are from April to June and then from September to October.
These are the times when the city enjoys warm, sunny weather, fewer crowds and offering excellent venue availability and a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere.
For an incentive planner this is always the hardest question as it’s based on so many factors, but if you would want to explore Lisbon properly, 3 to 4 days is ideal.
This allows enough time to experience the local culture with time to explore the historic neighbourhoods like Alfama and Bairro Alto, visit key landmarks in Belém, enjoy Lisbon’s foody scene and still move at a relaxed pace. And with a fourth day, you can easily add on an optional half or full-day excursion to Sintra or Cascais, which complements the city perfectly.
