The end of the founding era: Ralph Schwaller | Founding Member of euromic

“It was with great sadness that the members of euromic received the news of the passing of Ralph Schwaller this past month.

Ralph was the last of the remaining founding members of euromic back in 1973, he assumed the role of treasurer and guided the association through the turbulent years of creation and beyond, his fiscal skills and tenacity were often highlighted in the AGM minutes of days gone by.

Ralph was part of a pioneering team of industry legends who founded euromic, and due to their commitment, energy and reputation in the industry, it resulted in a legacy that is euromic as we know it today.

He was a formidable force and visionary in our industry and for that we owe him much.

Our sincere condolences to his family and to the members that had the privilege of working with and knowing him at this time.

Ralph was also the founder and owner of SM Travel, a Swiss DMC he built with the same dedication and professionalism, and which continues to operate successfully today.
