We are deeply saddened: Marc Glatigny

It is with deep sadness that we have learnt of the passing of Marc Glatigny, the visionary behind Colombia en Colores MICE DMC.

Marc was a pioneer in the MICE industry, dedicating his career to showcasing the beauty and vibrancy of Colombia. His passion, creativity, and commitment to excellence left an indelible mark on euromic, the industry and all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.

In a recent post during a holiday with his son, Marc wrote;

“I feel incredibly fortunate to work in the travel industry, not just for the opportunity to showcase the unique treasures of a country, but for the chance to share these experiences with my son.

For me, it’s essential to show him the diversity and beauty of the world—its people, its cultures, its stories—and to teach him the importance of protecting this beautiful nature and learning from the incredible people who call these places home.

This is the legacy I want to leave him: the understanding and appreciation of our shared humanity and planet.

Moments like these, deep in the heart of the Amazon, remind me of the power of travel to connect, inspire, teach, and care for the world around us.”

Marc’s legacy will continue to inspire, and his contributions to the world of destination management will not be forgotten.
